INTESTMAL CORPORATION SDN BHD (ICSB) is the first company established in Intestmal Group. ICSB was incorporated in December 1988, fully operated in April 1999. ICSB was initiated by Majlis Amanah Rakyat or MARA under entrepreneurship program. For starting ICSB utilized internal fund to slowly grow and develop. After successfully obtained Petronas License in July 1990, ICSB started to present its own capability to major oil and gas client. At early stage ICSB concentrated most of its operation in Fabrication yards such as Malaysia Shipyard Engineering, Sime Sembawang Engineering etc. ICSB became the largest supply of CSWIP 3.9 ultrasonic practitioner at that time and slowly replacing expatriate services who dominating NDT market at that time.
As time and market demand change, ICSB currently turn to plant maintenance activities to meet more challenges. At present ICSB become one of the leader in plant maintenance service provider and offers various inspection services including manpower supply. ICSB future plan is to become one stop centre for Quality Assurance needs. ICSB assures client win-win deals for every service offered. ICSB is the first company in Intestmal Group to obtain ISO 9001 certification in November 2006.

Info about Tn Hj Bahari Abdul Hamid. Graduate from University of Technology Malaysia (UTM) in Civil Engineering in 1988. He started his career in Quality Assurance and Inspection after joining one of top United Kingdom based NDT Company in Malaysia. He was selected by MARA Entrepreneurship Division to undergo Welding and Radiographic Film interpretation courses at Ruane and T.P O’Neill Training Centre at Sheffield United Kingdom in 1992. After successful course completion he later joint INTESTMAL as General Welding / NDT inspector assigned to Sarawak Shell Berhad / Sabah Shell Petroleum Company (SSB/SSPC) for CAT I and III project. (Hook up & Commissioning). He also involved in plant maintenance and turnaround activities for major client locally and abroad. He also served as Senior Plant Inspector for Uzbekistan refinery turnaround project. He has served more than 10 years working in the field for Fabrication, Plant Turnaround, Project Manager, Client Representatives and many more for major oil and gas company offshore/onshore nation wide. Due to his excellent leadership and experience he was appointed as INTESTMAL Corporation’s Operation Manager and later as the company’s Managing Director in 1999 until present. As one of the major share holder in INTESTMAL Holdings Sdn Bhd he was also appoint as the company Director.

The idea of forming ITC SKILLS DEVELOPMENT SDN BHD (ITC) this company is to cater the training needs for plant inspection personnel especially in American Petroleum Institute (API) requirement such as for piping, vessels and above ground storage tank. The training requirement increases when many petro-chemical plants started Risk Based Inspection (RBI) program. The training provides better understanding to the personnel in selecting the best inspection methodology and procedure based on API recommended practice.
ITC is the responsible party to bring API examination in Malaysia in 2002, which was held in Singapore before. During that time there were only less than 10 qualified API inspector in Malaysia. Currently the number increase tremendously as API certification is compulsory for inspectors who are doing plant inspection in many major oil, gas, petro-chemical and power plants. ITC also offers training at client premise or elsewhere. For highly technical course such as Fitness For Service, ITC trainer is specially brought from overseas and has vast experience in the related field. Currently ITC offers various courses beside API such as ASME, ICORR painting and coating, design codes, Fitness for service which helps plant personnel in properly handling and managing their assets according to governing code and specification.

Info about En Ahmad Zamri Bin Sulaiman. He obtained Diploma from University Technology Malaysia (UTM) in Mechanical Engineering. Joint INTESTMAL at its early stage of formations, and received his Management and Technical training from MARA Entrepreneurship Program conducted in 1988. He started his career in Quality Assurance and Inspection after joining Solus Oceaneering Sdn Bhd, one of the leading United Kingdom based NDT Company in Malaysia. He was selected by MARA Entrepreneurship Division to undergo Welding and Radiographic Film interpretation courses at Ruane and T.P O’Neill Training Centre at Sheffield United Kingdom in 1992. After successful course completion he later joint INTESTMAL as General Welding / NDT inspector assigned to Sarawak Shell Berhad / Sabah Shell Petroleum Company (SSB/SSPC) for CAT I and III project. (Hook up & Commissioning). He also involved in plant maintenance and turnaround activities for major client locally and abroad. He had served as Client Representative for Petronas PDH plant construction project in Gebeng, Pahang. He has served more than 10 years working in the field of Fabrication, Plant Turnaround, Project Team, Client Representatives and many more for major oil and gas company offshore/onshore nationwide. Due to his excellent leadership and experience he was appointed as INTESTMAL Corporation’s Operation Manager cum Director. Currently he is ITC SKILLS DEVELOPMENT Sdn Bhd’s Managing Director and also appoint as the director of INTESTMAL Holdings Sdn Bhd.

AI INSPEC-TECH SDN BHD (AISB) was formed to offer Advance Technique inspection services which require technically advance equipment. At the early stage INTESTMAL and ARASHIN Services, a local company who their key persons also were ex-INTESTMAL set a joint venture (JV) company. AISB started with 2 units of video-scope equipment intended to cater contract requirement that INTESTMAL was awarded . Later INTESTMAL decided to acquire the whole share of the company and further develop AISB to include other services to become tube inspection specialist. AISB later purchased Eddy Current equipment which can also switch to Remote Field Eddy Current Testing (RFET), Internal Rotating Inspection System (IRIS) and also Magnetic Flux Leakage. AISB now become one of the leaders in Tube Inspection Specialist in Malaysia.

Info about Tn Hj Hashim Bachek. He was graduated in Petroleum Engineering from University Technology of Malaysia. He started his career in oil and gas as NDT Technician in 1987 by joining one local inspection company. He obtained Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Welding Inspection knowledge from Ruane and T.P. O’Neill Training Centre Rotherham United Kingdom in 1992 after being selected by MARA Entrepreneurship Division to undergo the course. After course completion and passed all examination for Welding Inspection he later joined INTESTMAL Corporation Sdn Bhd and was assigned as Senior Welding / NDT inspector to Sarawak Shell Berhad (SSB) for CAT 1 and CAT 3 projects onshore and offshore. He later working as Senior Plant Inspector for SSB/BCOT in Bintulu Sarawak before later assigned as Senior Tank inspector for Esso Refinery Port Dickson. He also involved in overseas project after seconded to OGP Technical Services to work in Sudan as Chief Inspector for Pipeline project. He Involved in many major plant turn around activities for major clients nation wide such as for Petronas Gas Berhad, Petronas Penapisan Melaka Sdn Bhd, Esso Refinery and many others. He later appointed as Technical Manager 2003. He was appointed as INTESTMAL Holdings Sdn Bhd Director with effect from May 2008 until present and led one of its subsidiaries AI INSPEC-TECH Sdn Bhd which specialized in Tube Inspection services using advance techniques as Managing Director.

INTESTMAL ENGINEERING & SUPPLY SDN BHD (IESSB) was established in November 1993 to cater the need for the supply of equipment and consumable for inspection activities. As the main objective of formation is to support the group inspection activities, IESSB plays an important role in sourcing equipments, accessories and consumable for inspection needs in specific time frame. Time is very important aspect to consider in inspection especially during critical time such as turnaround and for offshore activities.
IESSB also successfully delivered orders from various client including oil and gas companies, research institutes, universities, NDT companies and fabricators. Info about Tn Hj Mohamed Hashim Mohamed Zahidi.He underwent NDT and Welding Inspection course in Ruane & T.P O’Neill in 1992. After course completion and certified as CSWIP 3.9 UT practitioner He later joint INTESTMAL as a multidiscipline NDT Inspector. He had been deployed to major oil and gas project including pipeline, steel fabricator and pipe mill as NDT Inspector both for onshore and offshore project. He later worked as client NDT inspector for various Heavy Steel Fabrication project nationwide. He later switched to Plant Maintenance activities as Plant / Turnaround Inspector and had completed many major turnaround projects for various plant including gas, refineries, petro-chemicals etc. He later joint management team as Assistant Manager for INTESTMAL Engineering & Supply Sdn Bhd. After 8 years serving the Company due to his talent and excellent performance he was appointed as Executive Director and later as Managing Director of the Company in 2008.
